A Man At The Sea by James Leland Ludeau III from Lafayette,LA

just a man at the sea
what more can i be?
as the ocean laps the shore
it erodes me forevermore
lost and found
losing ground
gaining soul
feeling whole
blue waves crash into boulders
i release the weight of the world from my shoulders
healing
dealing
breathing
conceiving
new ideas form
no storm
just sun
finally won
done
with the past
amassed
a bank of gratitude
latitude
longitude
a new attitude
setting sail
all hail
the new me
the man at the sea
who can i see
what i used to be
didn't work for me
set free
wrote it in the sand
and watched the land
give way to the sea
as it's meant to be
wipe your slate clean
like aquamarine
