Unrepentant

 He was the rain

I, the desert

Deluge

Flash flooding

Muddied up my world

Ran through me like a River

Like Patti I pissed in it

At the shore of his rushing emotions I defecated

Rid myself of him

Treacherous water still raining down

I took to the sky

Surveyed my drowned world

Foreign

Strange

See, sweet boys, they steal your sugar

Couldn’t have none of that

I shape shifted

Slithered across his heart sideways

With one venomous strike I took him down

Rain may bring relief

It’s temporary

But the desert, I remain

Forever

Burning flesh from bone

Unrepentant
