i am figuring it out as i go
the mountains they have called to me
i have found myself in them
i have carved a constellation of my own out on my arm
captured by stars
guided by light
trying to battle my ego
i don't want to just be a waste of your energy
and i don't pretend to know what you know
but if we already knew what everyone knows
we wouldn't have anything to learn tonight
and it makes it alright
i say bring it on
bring what you've got
i'll take my shot
i'll try to love you
like you've never known
i have had enough mystery
let's create a history
together

  Anxiety is like a flash flood. You’re standing in the most glorious sunshine, unaware of the rain falling high up in the mountains. Far away. You’re going about your day.   Took a Greyhound bus to my love   Waiting for me in Texas In a necklace  Story of a nexus  That grew into love  A love that connects us  Across state lines  Swamp to the desert  One leads to the other  Landscapes fade and change  Wide open range  Leaving plenty of space to fill with love  Daydreams  Of real things  That keep us intertwined  Took a Greyhound bus to my love  So I could dream the whole way  Of the way  She makes me feel  Smiles on my face for real  Green eyes sparkling through the night  Holding my baby tight  Wheels on the road  Turning round and round  Like the feels in my heart  Hitting like a dart  Pulling up on the target  Of my affection  No question  It’s been worth the whole ride
