our love exploded like fireworks
against a dark sky
but it was momentary
only a burst of light
then the smoke
it choked
me
the effort was hardly worth the show
but you take what you know
and you go
on with your journey
smarter
wiser
willing
killing
anything in your way to happiness
you offered less
than what i deserved
so i swerved
i'm outta here
next time i need some light
i'll explode on my own
